My car is finally mine

I finally own my car. It is paid off finally after like 4 years.
I am so excited. Now I don't have to worry about them
coming to get it because I am a day late on my payment.
Since I just spent $400 dollars getting it fixed. Now it's
time to get a paint job and fix the problems I have right
now.

Managing stress

There is a lot of stress this time of year with all
the bills and Christmas around the corner but there
are some ways to help deal with it.

1. Acknowledge that stress is good. What?

Based on your body's natural fight response that burst
of energy will enhance your performance at the right
moment.

2. Avoid stress "sneezers"

Stressed people sneeze a lot. Avoid being sneezed on.
And eliminate negativity in your life.

3. Learn from the best

When others are stressed around you remain calm. Sit
down with them if you know them well and have a talk
with them to help with their stress.

The less stressed you are and the people around you are,
you will feel relaxed and at ease.

Your Voice

You have a voice about today's economy. Would you like to
be heard and give your opionion and thoughts? Today's
talk everywhere has to do with the economy and the crisis.
One thing that is better than sending an email or text is that
you can actually talk to people so they can hear your emotions,
and frustration and what you think needs to happen now.
Talk about the Bailout Plan, Voice Your Opinion, Be Heard.

Sorry for the delay

I have been a little under the weather lately. Sorry for the
long pause in post. With each day that goes by I am feeling
a little better. I have been sleeping alot. Which now I am
kicking myself in the rear cause I'm not making much money
this month. Any help or advice would be great.

Household physics?

Boy isn't this true. I think of some of the weirdest
things. But I have a curious mind and it wonders a lot.

Some examples of household physics some are very true.

1. A child's eagerness to assist in any project varies
in inverse proportion to the ability to actually do the
work involved.

2. Leftovers always expand to fill all available containers
plus one.

3. A newly washed window gathers dirt at double the speed
of an unwashed window.

4. The availability of a ballpoint pen is inversely proportional
to how badly it is needed.

5. The same clutter that will fill a one-car garage will
fill a two-car garage.

6. Three children plus two cookies equals a fight.

7. The potential for disaster is in direct proportion to
the number of TV remote controls divided by the number of viewers.

8. The number of doors left open varies inversely with the
outdoor temperature.

9. The capacity of any hot water heater is equal to one and
one-half sibling showers.

10. What goes up must come down, except for bubble gum,
kites and slightly used Rice Krispies.

11. Place two children in a room full of toys and they will
both want to play with the same toy.

Money is tight

Money is so tight right now for us, and probably others.
We have had to cut back on alot of things. How often we
do laundry, what we get at the grocery store, where we
go. It's becoming so bad that I feel like I am a prisoner
anymore. All because of money. I have to save so much, and
no shopping anymore, I just go to get the necessities like
toilet paper, trash bags, dish soap etc. I am just wondering
if it is ever going to get better.

Make your own Curtains

When we go shopping for curtains there are many different
styles and designs. And you might not like them or it's not
what you had in mind. The price of those curtains are
outrageous you have to buy one panel it doesn't come with
two panels that's what gets me frustrated. But I am going
to let you in on how to make your own curtains. You can
go to any store that sells fabric and pick out your own.
Make sure you do measurements on your windows so you
get enough fabric with a little extra.

If you want to make curtains with rings you need to stitch
an approximately 3-inch hem at the edge of the curtain
panels that are going to be hung. Now, sew each ring to
each curtain panel leaving small distances between the
rings so that the curtain is pulled easily. You can also
use clip-on rings that don’t need to be stitched and are
easier to apply.

For tied tab curtains you will need to create the hangers.
Simply stitch horizontal buttonholes at the top of the
curtain panel. Now you can make the hangers using the
same fabric as the curtains, or another but suitable
fabric for a little diversity. Make threads and place
through the buttonholes. I make a lot of my curtains, not
only does it save you money but you can design the look
that you want.

Caring for your dolls

Some of us have very special dolls that we have
gotten over the years, whether it be from a family
member that has past or a gift from your childhood.
Do you know how to care for them and clean them?
Here are some tips:

Porcelain Dolls:
These dolls usually have some decorations on them,
don't worry you won't hurt them. Use warm soapy water.
Use a wet eraser to remove marks on the face. When
you are displaying your dolls avoid sunlight as time
goes on this will damage them.

Celluloid Dolls:
These dolls are perishable meaning they are easily
breakable and become brittle over time. Avoid heat
with these dolls, and never store in a sealed case-
it will bust.

Cloth Dolls:
My grandmother has alot of these vintage dolls but was
always afraid to clean them. They can be worth thousands
of dollars so I see why. Avoid sunlight at all times
with these dolls. If you notice dust on the cloth, get
a old toothbrush and use on the dress.

These are a few tips to help stay tuned on how to
clean other types of dolls.

Acne Scars

Do you have acne scars that are left behind? As you know
they are hard to cover up and make up sometimes makes it
worse. So what do you do? I have tried many many products
to help because I do have a few that are there from my
teenage years, and nothing has completely taken them away.

If you are using a blemish cover up look for one that is
free of oils or chemicals, because that can cause additional
breakouts for you. Look for non pore clogging products.

If you have the extra money and are tired of covering them
up then you can see a dermatologist to get treatment. One
of the popular treatments is laser resurfacing. In the treatment
the top layer of skin (the damaged layer) is removed.

Another is microdermabrasion. I have tried the nutrogena
product while it did not completely remove the scars but it
made them less visible and my skin was so soft. It just dulls
down the top layer of skin but your gonna save alot more money
than having treatments.
